Stone deposits can be found on every island
It is much more efficient to harvest 15 energy stones than it is to try to tackle larger deposits. For example, two 15-energy deposits will cost you 30 energy and give you 6 stones; one 34 energy stone deposit will also give you 6 stones but cost you 4 extra energy. This is often true of other resources as well, and tracking and doing the math of what resources cost what re: what they give you will assist greatly in strate

* Depending on harvest location - festival islands will almost always give 3 plus festival points, and/or resources specific to that festival - for example, festivals where snowballs are featured, a 15 energy stone deposit could give 3 stones, 4 festival points, and a snowball. On non-festival islands, seems that depending on the island, 3 stones will be given about 50% of the time, and 4 stones 50% of the time. On home island, 3 stones seem to be given 30% of the time, 4 stones 70% of the time.
